Today we received a very thoughtful donation of £60.00 from Mr Alan Hankinson of Winwick, Warrington in the memory of the late Tony Mercer of Snowdon Drive, Horwich.

In his letter accompanying this generous donation, Alan Hankinson states; “Please accept this donation in memory of a dearly loved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother-in-Law and Uncle.”

Tony (Antony) Mercer went missing from his Horwich home last New Years Eve, and the team was involved in a two day intensive search to locate him.

Sadly on February 2nd 2010, his body was discovered in Lower Rivington Reservoir, and recovered by Police.

The condolences of the team go out to the family and friends of the late Tony Mercer at this time of the year.
