Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

27th January 2011

At 17:15 early this evening, NWAS (Greater Manchester) requested the team to assist them with a casualty suffering a dislocated knee, in the middle of a Sports Field in the Altrincham area of South Manchester.

A full team pager call out was made at 17:19, with eleven team members in two team Land Rover MR Ambulances and their own vehicles responding.

Arriving on scene at 18:20, our first arriving team members quickly established that attending NWAS (Greater Manchester) resources had managed to deal with the casualty, who was already on route to hospital, however one of the responding NWAS Emergency Ambulances had become stuck in the soft ground of the Sports Field.

So rather than recovering a casualty, the team members present ending up recovering an Ambulance! All in a day’s work for the team.
