Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

7th February 2011

Following on from Bolton Mountain Rescue Team being selected as the Charity of the Year for 2011 by Bolton Sports Federation Ladies’ Rounders League, more donations have been raised for Bolton MRT. As their Annual General Meeting in November 2010 came to a close £300.00 had already been raised for the team less than an hour after the team had been selected. As well as the large Summer Rounders League, the League also organises a smaller Winter Rounders League.

One of the Winter League Organisers (Ken Coward) and the Party Perfections Rounders Team held a Junior Disco at Green Lane Cricket Club on Saturday 18 December 2010. Despite the severe weather problems 51 children and 30 adults attended. Santa and his Elves made a special appearance. The day was very successful and raised £207.00 towards the Bolton MRT. A massive thank you to Ken, Party Perfections and the League for this further donation to the team. Donations to date now exceed just over £500.00.

On Thursday night, 10th February 2010, the Rounders League will be hosting another fundraising event “An evening with David Taylor – Spiritualist Medium”. Thursday 10th February 2011 – doors open 7.00pm for a 7.45pm start – Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane in aid of Bolton Sports Federation Ladies’ Rounders League 2011 nominated charity: Bolton Mountain Rescue Team. Tickets: only £8.00 including pie and peas supper, available from: email Angie Hill angie.hill3@ntlworld.com or tel 07871 224592.

So we won’t be waiting long before we can update you again on the new total raised for the team. (you can also visit this link to view the progress of BSFLRL Charity Year in support of Bolton MRT
