Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

8th March 2011

This morning Team Chairman, Ken Oakes, and Team Secretary, Gillian Gregory, attended Team Eagley Bank’s coffee morning held at the home of their member, Maureen Heggie to receive officially a cheque for £2,819.42 raised during a year of fundraising – or as Maureen, herself, put it – “funraising” for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team. The Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton, Councillor John Byrne and his wife, Linda, were there to offer their support and joined with Team Eagley Bank in the cheque presentation photograph.

The thirty-eight members of Team Eagley Bank have been inspirational with their enthusiasm and innovative ideas for raising funds whilst looking after each other in a true community spirit. All members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team are very appreciative of their efforts in raising such a marvellous amount, have enjoyed working with them throughout the year, and wish them all well for their future endeavours.
