Recently, a former member of the Team (Chris Moody) contacted us regarding the old RES-Q magazine.
The object of the excercise at the time was to see how far one could get the magazine to travel and the other was to get it signed by a famous person.
Chris acheived this in abundance because his copy of the mag travelled to South Africa and was signed by none other than Nelson Mandela.
This prompted Gill Marsh (wife of Dave, who assists with the training of our trainee Trailing dog Boris) to cast her eyes over her back copies. Gill was the magazine’s editor at the time and had the chance to send her own copies on a world wide tour.
Puerto Rico; Dominican Republic; Antigua; St. Maarten; St. Lucia; Barbados; St. Kitts were all logged on one trip, completing 2804 nautical miles in distance; a height of 32000 ft; a speed of 580 mph and sailed over a depth of 4300 metres.
Another magazine made it to Washington; Charlottesville; The Great Smokey Mountains; Tennessee and North Carolina being driven 1593 miles and reaching 33000 ft along the way.
