This evening Krisshan Weedall, ’Bolton’s youngest busker,’ and an appreciated supporter of the team, who last month alone kindly raised £80.00 for the team, joined us for an evening exercise in the Cadshaw quarry area of Turton and Entwistle.
Krisshan in the company of her father, played the part of an injured girl, and was found by the teams Trainee Trail Dog ’Boris,’ and his handler, team member Steve Nelson.
She was then stretcher evacuated down from the Cadshaw ’Castle Rocks’ area back to the team vehicles, all in the dark, where the twenty six team members present for the evenings exercise, thanked her and her dad for attending, before she left for a later than usual bedtime.
Krisshan, aged eleven, of Plodder Lane, Farnworth, a pupil at Harper Green School, has been described by The Bolton News, as Bolton’s ’Youngest Busker.’ (You can see her singing via the Bolton News website, – video links, and also on You Tube)
Krisshan sings on Newport Street, within Bolton town centre, donating a large part of her ’earnings’ to charity. (Her ’spot’ is between Greggs and Greenhalghs, usually on a Saturday)
Since September 2010, upto date Krisshan has managed to raise the fantastic amount of well over £500.00 for local charities.
Each charity is chosen personally by Krisshan, and so far she has supported the RSPCA, MacMillan Nurses, Kidz 2Gether Horwich (Autistic Children), Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter, Roald-Dahl Foundation for Epileptics, and now Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
