Today’s Community Safety Day / 999 Emergency Services Day held in Darwen Town Centre started with a downpour that continued throughout the morning. Fortunately, as the clock struck twelve the skies started to brighten and the residents and visitors to Darwen’s Market were treated to demonstrations and exhibitions by Bolton Mountain Rescue Team and other colleague Emergency Services.
