Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th October 2011

Tonight Team members, Gill Leigh, Mike O’Brien, Sam McKay, John Dickinson, Paul Chisholm and Kris Kilshaw, were delighted to welcome to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ several members from 77th Bolton, St Andrew’s Brownies, Bromley Cross.

The sixteen Brownies, three Leaders and a number of parents, were interested to learn of the work and services provided by the Team. They listened to a quick talk from Gill then went on to have hands on sessions with one of our mountain rescue stretchers with Paul, our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance with John and to learn resuscitation techniques with Sam.

The Brownies explained to Team members how they had held a sponsored silence in aid of Bolton MRT funds. They then very kindly presented a cheque for the magnificent sum of £200.00 which was very gratefully accepted. One of the parents even promised a further donation of sponsorship money that was still awaiting collection.

The Brownies were very well behaved and got stuck into all the activities throughout the evening.

From all the members of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team we would like to extend a very big and sincere thank you to all at 77th Bolton, St Andrew’s Brownies, Bromley Cross, for their wonderful support and truly marvelous fundraising success for the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
