As part of his continuation training with Lancashire Constabulary as a Missing From Home Search Manager, today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, attended a one day Missing from Home Search Managers Refresher Course, at Lancashire Constabulary Force Headquarters, Hutton, Preston.
Organised and facilitated by Inspector Neil Sherry and PC Alison Suffield from the Lancashire Constabulary Civil Contingencies Unit, todays refresher course included nine Search Managers from Lancashire Constabulary, (Mostly of Sergeant and Inspector rank) three from Rossendale and Pendle MRT (Gail Todd, Deputy Team Leader Graham Daley and Team Leader Andy Simpson), one from Bowland Pennine MRT and Stuart Howarth, Crew Manager, Urban Search and Rescue, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. (The Fire fighter incidentally involved in calling out the team for our Incident 67-2011, Wednesday 26th October 2011, see website ‘news’ report dated the same) and of course our very own Garry Rhodes.
Sessions covered included a review of IT based advice prompts for Missing Person Search enquiries, a review of some methodologies within the ‘Golden Hour’ taskings and a presentation by two Officers from Lancashire Constabulary Force Negotiator Team.
Garry, our Team Leader, would like to thank Lancashire Constabulary and particularly Inspector Neil Sherry and PC Alison Suffield for the opportunity to attend and fully participate in this excellent course.
