Our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE has been in recent correspondence with Tony Dunn, a former RAF MRT Stafford team member, who contacted our team amongst others before Christmas, with a request for any MRT Team Badges to add to his collection.

Garry duly obliged sending Tony examples of cloth badges which the team used in the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s. (More recent ones remain firmly attached to team clothing!)

Garry also sent to Tony some information on the Bolton MRT and copies of recent issues of our national magazine ‘ Mountain Rescue.’

It turned out that Tony remembered some Joint Exercises between his team ; RAF MRT Stafford and Bolton MRT in the mid 1970’s, he could even recall Geoff Seddon, our current Deputy Team Leader, being present on the exercises. (Yes Geoff Seddon is that old!)

Today Garry received from Tony a very kind £15.00 donation to the team, as thanks for the items sent by Garry on behalf of Bolton MRT.
