This evening prior to the commencement of our weekly exercise, the team was visited by Colin Jones, of Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletic Club, organiser of this years Winter Hill Fell Race.

Held on Sunday 12th February 2012, (See website ‘news’ report dated the same) the team as always provided ‘Standby Rescue Cover’ for this arduous and long established fell race.

Met by our Team Training Officer Elaine Gilliland at our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ, Colin handed over to the team tonight a fantastic donation of £500.00 on behalf of the race organisers Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletic Club.

The whole team membership is very grateful to Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletic Club for this marvellous donation and their continuing and much valued, appreciated support of the Bolton MRT.

In turn the Bolton MRT gladly provides ‘Standby Rescue Cover’ at a great many Horwich RMI Harriers and Athletic Club events upon the local moorlands.
