Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

13th March 2012

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a very kind card of thanks to the team membership from Mrs Imelda Wood, the casualty involved in Incident 22 in late February this year.

Whilst out hillwalking with an organised walking group, Imelda slipped suffering a fractured leg in the area of Turn Lowe on Darwen Moor, resulting in a rescue response involving the NWAA Helicopter, NWAS and the Bolton MRT.
Mrs Imelda Wood enclosed with her card of thanks a very thoughtful and much appreciated £500.00 donation to the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.

Mrs Imelda Wood reports in her kind card that she underwent an operation on her fractured leg at Royal Blackburn Hospital the day after her accident, and all the Bolton MRT membership wish her a speedy recovery back to full health and hill walking again.
