Tonight the team welcomed Richard Preston, a Counter-Terrorism Security Advisor from the GMP Counter Terrorism Branch, alongside Pc Ian Crossley, a Greater Manchester Police Search Advisor and missing person search manager (from the GMP Specialist Search section)

Richard and Ian gave an interesting and very informative presentation to the team on the current terrorist threat within the UK and how team members can assist the Police by reporting suspicious occurrences or behaviour to the appropriate authorities (the emphasis being as MRT team members, and hill walkers in our local area, we have an intimate knowledge of the usual sights and behaviour to be expected so anything out of the ordinary would give cause for concern)

37 team members attended tonight’s presentation, which provoked some very interested discussion.
