23rd April 2012

This evening, four team members undertook the short journey from our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ to visit the members of the GAP Youth Group, at St Peter’s Primary School, Smithills Dean Road, Smithills, Bolton.

Arriving in team Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance, call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 3,’ Kris Kilshaw, Paul Copley, Naomi Horan and John Dickinson met up with some forty members of the youth group (Young men and women aged between 13 and 18) and their five Leaders.

Equipment demonstrations followed, including our medical kit, splints and stretchers, followed by a look around the Land Rover present, with many questions asked by the interested members of the youth group.

All to soon it was time for Kris, Paul, Naomi and John to leave, having enlightened yet another group as to the work of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
