Whilst still providing standby rescue cover for the Pike View Hike and with the Belmont Fell Races senior events yet to start, at 12.23hrs we were alerted to a young twelve year old competitor in the Pike View Hike who was experiencing problems with her Asthma condition.
Four team members in our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance BM1 vehicle were immediately despatched from the race cover RVP at Belmont to the White Coppice area, where they quickly stabilsed the young female Scouts condition, and then in agreement with NWAS (Lancashire) Emergency Control Centre, it was decided that our BM1 vehicle would transport the young Scout to Chorley Hospital.
By 13.39hrs this incident was complete.
