Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

26th May 2012

At 19:27 our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was contacted by Phil O’Brien, Team Leader of Bowland Pennine MRT, to inform him of the possibility of the Bolton MRT being involved in a developing search in the general Rivington area for a missing woman.

Bowland Pennine MRT had just completed a search for a missing person in the Chorley area and had been informed of another missing person possibly in the Bolton MRT team area.

Our Team Leader then contacted Lancashire Constabulary and found out that they were trying to establish the whereabouts of the missing woman, possibly in the Grimeford and Rivington areas.

At this stage there were insufficient grounds to commit the team to the search and it was decided to place the team on home standby for possible involvement later in the evening.

The team’s standby was cancelled at 21:50 with the news that the woman had been located by police.

This is recorded here for information purposes only and does not feature in our incident listings.
