Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th June 2012

Following our Medal Ceremony the team hosted a visit by GMFRS White Watch Manager Nigel Booth of Bolton North Fire Station.

Nigel was visiting to discuss a proposed exercise by GMFRS on Saturday 28th July 2012, likely to be held on Smithills Moor based around a moorland fire scenario.

The team has been invited to attend to further develop our links with GMFRS with respect to incidents of this nature.

Nigel was met by our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon, long serving team member Mike Marsh and experienced team member Chris Greenhalgh (himself a GMFRS Fire Fighter).

The likely exercise areas and scenarios were discussed and formulated, which will make for an interesting exercise on the day.
