Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd June 2012

This morning our Team Secretary Gillian Gregory received the following kind email from Roger Johnson, the casualty involved in the incident which occurred last night whilst the team was providing standby rescue cover for the Aggies Staircase Fell Race.

“I was the casualty on the Aggies Staircase Fell race.

My ankle was X-rayed at Blackburn Hospital. I was fast-tracked as the Triage nurse noticed discolouring on my toes, even though the pulse was strong.
The X-Ray showed no breaks, thankfully.

I have major soft tissue damage and am on crutches.

Please convey my thanks to all who attended me on the moor in such bad weather.
Roger Johnson.”

The whole team wishes Roger Johnson a speedy full recovery back to fell racing.
