Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

9th July 2012

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received in the post a letter from George Thompson of Darwen Dashers Running Club, organiser of the popular Aggies Staircase Fell Race.

The letter stated;

“Dear Garry, on behalf of Darwen Dashers, I would like to thank you and your team for their strong support at Aggies Staircase race again this year.
The race was very well attended with 181 runners, and all went reasonably smoothly.

As you know one runner, Roger Johnson, did not complete the whole course due to injury. Roger confirmed that the ankle was badly sprained rather than broken, when I spoke to him the day after the race at home.

Please say a special thank you to the members of your team who helped him on the hill, and carried him down to safety.

Please find enclosed a donation of £90.00 to the team from Darwen Dashers Running Club.”

The whole team membership extends its thanks to Darwen Dashers Running Club for their kind and appreciated donation, and thanks all for their continuing and very valued support of the Bolton MRT.
