Regards this weekends Joint Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue, which we as a team organised and hosted, today our Team Training Officer Elaine Gilliland received an email from Richard Brady, a member of North East Wales Search and Rescue Team, who attended the weekend as a trainee, he kindly commented;
“Hi Elaine, Rich here, one of NEWSAR’s trainee team members.”
“I just wanted to thank you and the rest of Bolton MRT for a great weekend. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, learnt a lot and realised how much more there is to learn.”
“I was also very impressed with how proactive your team is, in terms of promoting the team.”
“Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved, in particular Garry, and I look forward to seeing you again soon, Rich.”
Carl Silver, who again on the weekend kindly acted as the ‘Course Photographer,’ has emailed Elaine stating; “Many thanks for allowing me to tag along to the Foundation Course again this year, thoroughly enjoyed it (as always!).”
Elaine has also received the following email from Chris Griffiths, Deputy Team Leader of North East Wales Search and Rescue Team, who attended the weekend as a ‘Group Mentor.’
”
Elaine, just wanted to say a big ’thank you’ for the weekend. I really enjoyed my ’unexpected’ role as mentor and thought that all of the course members did really well. lectures/talks, practical’s and ’social’ activities were well planned and ’spot on’ as usual.”
“Catering and accommodation was excellent too – efficient, more than sufficient and relaxing.
“As a team you should be proud of the course, it’s content, delivery, setting and the networking it evokes between teams – it is well worth all of the hard work you and your colleagues put into it.”
“If you are short of mentors again next year please ask and I will be on my way up the M6!! Please pass on my thanks and regards to Garry and the team. Best wishes, Chris Griffiths, Deputy Team leader, NEWSAR.”
