Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

1st November 2012

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received in the post a letter from Kathryn Fairclough, a Ranger with Bury Ranger Service, Bury Council.
The letter enclosed a very kind and appreciated donation of £261.08p from the Croal Irwell Valley Voluntary Ranger Service.

In the letter Kathryn Fairclough explained;

“It was unanimously decided at the final meeting of the Croal Irwell Valley Voluntary Ranger Service that the remaining balance of the account be donated to the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team. In the past, the team have helped us to deliver navigation and rescue training on a number of our sites and the work you do is greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely Kathryn.”

The entire team membership is very grateful to all in the former Croal Irwell Valley Voluntary Ranger Service for their kindness in making this donation, and for all the support we have received in the past from the voluntary Rangers when conducting search and rescue operations in the Croal Irwell Valley, training exercises and public displays of the teams work.
