Today we received a very kind donation of £23.75p via the Charities Aid Foundation, our online donation portal, from Mr Gavin Baxter of Wilderswood, Horwich.

Gavin was a competitor in the Rivington Half Marathon event on Saturday 6th October this year, for which we provided Standby Rescue Cover. (See website ‘news’ item dated the same)

Unfortunately Gavin required the help of the team when he suffered an arm laceration, which team members dressed and then transported him from White Coppice to his home address in Wilderswood. (See website ‘news’ item Incident 70, Saturday 6th October 2012)

Gavin stated with his donation today; “Many thanks for all your help when I bashed myself up at the Rivington Half Marathon.”
