Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th November 2012

This evening, our Team Life Vice President Tony McNally, was the special guest of honour at a meeting of Worsley Rotary Club, at the Novotel, Worsley.
Tony was joined at the meeting of the Worsley Rotarians by one of our new Probationary Team members Robert Paterson.

There follows an account of this special evening by Tony McNally;

“This evening Team Life Vice President Tony McNally and new Probationary Team Member Robert Paterson were guests of the Worsley Rotarians at the Novotel, Worsley. John Biddlestone a Worsley Rotarian and friend of the Team and husband of Tony’s former boss, Maggie, had invited the Team to speak about the work and role of Mountain Rescue in the local and wider community. After an excellent meal Tony and Robert spoke to the members about the work the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team does in its capacity of providing a local voluntary search and rescue service. After their presentation Worsley Rotarian President, Jeff Barnes presented Tony and Robert with a very kind wonderful donation for £200.00 to assist the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in the work they do. The whole of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team extends its full thanks to the Rotary Club of Worsley for the interest they expressed in the work of our team, their generosity in the donation they made to us and the hospitality they very kindly extended to Tony and Robert.”
