Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

16th January 2013

This evening our Mobile 5 minibus ambulance travelled to the university of Bolton’s campus to pick up a group of eleven graphic design students and their course leader to transport them to our Ladybridge Hall base. The students have to undertake a course which involves preparing publicity material for a local charity and this year the course leader Carol Allison suggested the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team as a worthy choice of charity. Following a presentation to the students by team member Mark Scott at the university earlier in the year the students have been hard at work on their designs, and were provided with large amounts of written information and photographs about the team as source material. They also made good use of the team’s web site.

The group presented their outcomes using the team’s powerpoint projection system in our lecture room. Their audience consisted of call out team members and support group members and their own peers. We were treated to a marvellous and creative display of a variety of designs promoting the team, and there was lively discussion of each of the designs.

Finally, team Chairman Craig Lamb formally thanked the students and their course leader, praising all the hard work they had done and the diversity of their ideas.

On behalf of the whole team we would like to wish the Bolton University Graphic Design students the very best of luck with their studies and their forthcoming final examinations, and we would like to thank them wholeheartedly for their marvellous design ideas.
