Our very kind supporters and friends at Flixton Dog Training Club have contacted our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE by letter today enclosing a very generous and kind £100.00 donation to the team.
In her letter Joy Thornton of Flixton Dog Training Club states;
“Please find enclosed the cheque for £100.00. The money was raised from a raffle held at the Flixton Dog Training Club Christmas Party.
We still talk about the amazing information gained when we came to see you. Most of our conversations hark back to the training of the dogs for scenting bodies underwater. I think we all found this topic pretty amazing.
I would like to know if it would be possible, in the future, if it could be arranged that some of your dog team could possible come along to the hall and give a talk about your work and the role of your dog team. I feel it would be easier to raise funds as we could have a supper and have a raffle for you.
I know how we all enjoyed it and found it so interesting. We could have stayed for hours and what a great bunch of guys you are.
Yours sincerely, Joy Thornton.”
The whole team membership extends its best wishes to all at Flixton Dog Training Club for their kind continuing support, and this donation.
We will certainly arrange for our Trailing Search Dog Boris and his handler Steve Nelson, our Trainee Drowned Victim Search Dog Sasha and her handler Dave Marsh and our Trainee Air Scenting Search Dog Bella and her handler Paul Chisholm to arrange via our Secretary Gillian Gregory, a visit to your club as requested.
