Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

23rd February 2013

At 11:06 hours this morning the team was called by NWAS (Lancashire) for assistance with an incident on Winter Hill involving a reported crashed paraglider.

At 11:10 a full team callout was initiated with our first vehicle (BM3) leaving our Ladybridge Hall Base HQ at 11:19.

As our first team members were arriving on scene at circa 11:29, including our BM3 Landrover Ambulance, the team was stood down as the North West Air Ambulance had managed to evacuate the casualty who we believe had suffered knee injuries.

An NWAS (Manchester) Emergency Ambulance from Bolton North Ambulance Station was also stood down on scene.

In total, 19 team members responded to this incident, along with two of our Land Rover Mountain Rescue ambulances.
