On 8th December 2012 Heywood & Radcliffe Canine Society hosted a Great North West Charity Knockout Match Meeting Dog Show at Swinton Masonic Hall. The event was attended by members of the twelve of the top canine societies in the North West which each entered a puppy and an adult to compete against each other on a match basis. This resulted in the best puppy and best adult being declared the best in match. Following the dog show, those attending enjoyed a three course meal and disco.

Two charities were chosen to benefit from the evening, one nominated by the winning puppy’s owner and the other chosen by the winning adult. We are pleased to report that the owner of the winning puppy from Tonge & District Canine Society very kindly chose Bolton Mountain Rescue Team as her charity, resulting in our Team Secretary, Gillian Gregory, receiving a cheque on Friday 8th March 2013, from Heywood & Radcliffe Canine Society’s Honorary Secretary, John Tranter, for the wonderful total of £264.40.
