Following Police concern for the welfare of a missing 49 year old man from the Wrexham area, who had been missing since last being seen at circa 18.00hrs on Monday 25th March 2013, when he left Wrexham Maelor Hospital, North Wales Police called out the North East Wales Search and Rescue Team today to join in the search for the missing man.
Ten NEWSART team members met at Wrexham Police Station at 13.00hrs, and in conjunction with North Wales Police, their Search Manager on scene carefully selected search areas and assigned search parties.
The NEWSAR team were stood down at 17.02hrs.
At 13.27hrs, early this afternoon, our Mountain Rescue Trailing Search Dog Boris, and his handler Steve Nelson (Bolton MRT / SARDA Wales) were called out to assist in the search operation, alongside Bolton MRT team call out list member Elaine Gilliland, who was acting as Steve’s navigator.
Both Steve and Elaine were stood down as they were receiving a search briefing, and returned home by 17.26hrs.
