Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

31st May 2013

At 20.39hrs this sunny evening, we were paged by NWAS (Manchester) EOC Parkway, to provide assistance with an incident involving the report of a collapsed male in the Scotman’s Flash area of Wigan.

Our Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon liaised with NWAS EOC and at 20.42hrs sent a full team pager call out message.

By 20.55hrs three of our Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulances were responding from our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ and GMFRS Bolton Central Fire Station garage, with in total seven team members on board.

At this same time our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE paged out a stand down message based on information from NWAS EOC that the Ambulance crew on scene no longer required mountain rescue assistance.

In total twenty team members were stood down responding to this incident, with one additional team member having already arrived at the RVP on Poolstock Lane, Wigan.
