Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

4th June 2013

On the very wintry evening of Saturday 23rd March 2013, we were called to Foxholes Road, Horwich, to assist an NWAS crew transport an elderly man from his house to an Emergency Ambulance, which due to deep snow and very icy road conditions could not access the mans house. (Please see Incident Report 45/2013 dated the same)

Within our report of this incident we made mention of the very kind comments received shortly after this incident, from Mrs Deborah Peaty and Mrs Christine Coleman, the daughters of the man involved, thanking the team for their help.

Very sadly we learnt that on April 11th 2013, the man involved, Mr Alan Roy Thompson, passed away in Hospital, and our sincere condolences were subsequently expressed to the family of the late Mr Thompson.

Today via the Charities Aid Foundation, we have received a very kind and thoughtful £11.87p donation from Mrs Christine Coleman of Watford, Hertfordshire, with regards to our involvement in helping her late father – “With grateful thanks from the family of Alan Thompson.”

The team would like to express its sincere thanks for this latest kind donation from Christine Coleman and her family.
