15th July 2013

The entire Bolton MRT membership is united in extending our sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of GMFRS Firefighter Stephen Hunt who tragically lost his life, whilst tackling a very serious fire in Manchester yesterday morning.

Stephen Hunt a GMFRS Firefighter since 2008, was based at the time of the fire at GMFRS Philips Park Fire Station, and sadly lost his life whilst involved in firefighting operations at Pauls Hair World, Oldham Street, Manchester City Centre, yesterday morning.

As reported previously the Bolton MRT and other participants in our Joint Exercise of yesterday, held a minutes silence at the exercise commencement to give honour to the death of an Emergency Services colleague, who fell in the line of duty.
