Way back in August 2005, Iain Bisset whilst climbing with his father and fellow climber David Bisset, at Ousel’s Nest Quarry, Chapeltown, suffered injuries in a climbing accident, to which the team and the ambulance service were called. Iain thankfully went on to make a full recovery, and went back to rock climbing at a high standard, and since this time has also travelled abroad extensively.
Since the accident, Iain, his family and particularly David his father, have become valued, stalwart and very much appreciated, regular supporters and friends of the team.
Today we are very pleased to have received another kind and thoughtful donation of £100.00, from David Bisset, marking the anniversary of his son’s fall and subsequent rescue.
In his letter accompanying his kind donation to the team, David passed on his good wishes to all in the team with the following kind comments;
“Dear Team Members, As it is August here is the usual donation remembering that occasion now 8 years ago. Good wishes to all as usual.”
“As for Iain, he is in Cameroon, home soon then leading a trip to Morocco for World Challenge.”
“Regards David Bisset,
PS I hope to see you all in Rivington in November.”

As ever the entire team membership extends its sincere thanks to David Bisset and his family for their continued much appreciated thoughtful kindness and support of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
