Very early this morning four Bolton MRT members departed from Horwich and Bolton to journey to the second day of this years ‘The Emergency Services Show 2013.’
Team Training Officer Dave Marsh, Team Treasurer Martin Banks, Chris Tennant and Neil Aspinall all arrived much quicker than the incredible five hour journey endured by our members who attended yesterday (Due to a ‘Motorway Serious Incident on the M6) at this years bigger than ever second day of the show, at its venue of the NEC Birmingham.
The show the biggest of its kind in the UK, featured over 400 exhibitors, and included a focus on those exhibitors in the Emergency Response Zone (ERZ) with frontline responders and partner agencies all highlighting their work at the show.
Our Dave Marsh actually attended in his capacity as Secretary of NSARDA (National Search and Rescue Dog Association) on their exhibition stand.
All four returned home (again) somewhat quicker than our hapless four of yesterday, who endured a marathon four hour journey home last night!
