Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

12th November 2013

This evening our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received the following very kind email comments from Barbara Williams, Development Officer for Chorley Ramblers, regarding our recent news about two marvellous awards from GMP and NWAS to the team, and our involvement in the Remembrance Service held at the Bomber Memorial in Lead Mines Valley, Anglezarke;

“Dear Garry, Congratulations!!”

“There isn’t a team that I know of who deserve an award more than you and your team do. Pat (doing the ’technical’ work on Sunday!) and Brian are just as delighted and also send their congratulations; Syd doesn’t know yet but I will contact him.”

“Thank you again Garry for all the support that you gave me; I really appreciated it. Your 3 readers were excellent and I made a point of thanking each of them.” (Webmaster, please see our website ‘News’ report dated Sunday 10th November 2013, Remembrance Sunday Service)

“They (the team) were all so friendly which added to the remarkable atmosphere up on the moors.”

“I will be in contact again, Barbara.”
