Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

18th November 2013

This morning our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received from Chris Griffiths Deputy Team Leader of NEWSAR the following very kind email of thanks;

“Morning Garry, we were involved in an event at Llangollen over the weekend – with our SRT’s (Swiftwater Rescue Technicians) providing water safety cover for both canoe and raft racing.”

“On Friday 15th November, I received a comprehensive safety brief from your team member John Fletcher – giving us the benefit of his extensive knowledge of the section of river we would be working in.”

“A thoughtful and extremely useful contribution to our team planning ensuring that we were giving the best possible cover in the right places.”

“An excellent example of co-operative working. I have thanked John but if you could re-enforce our appreciation I would be grateful.”

“Hope all’s well in your world, best regards, Chris Griffiths, DTL – NEWSAR.”

John Fletcher outside of his role within our team as our Equipment Officer (Water) and a member of the teams integral ‘Water Team,’ is a white water rafting guide, and knows the river over this stretch in Llangollen very well, and was only too pleased to pass on his knowledge to NEWSAR.
