Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

28th November 2013

Exactly a calendar year ago today, on Wednesday 28th November 2012, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was notified by Gilbert Stephens Solicitors of Ottery St Mary, Devon, that we had been left the residue of the estate of the late Ian Casson.

We understand that Mr Ian Casson was born in Blackburn, going on to become a long term resident of Devon, up to his death on 12th November 2012.

Other than these few details the Bolton MRT has no other information regarding Mr Casson.

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE has received from Gilbert Stephens Solicitors details of the provisional Estate Account of the late Ian Casson, and a substantial bequest of £20,000.00 to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, representing the bulk of the funds due to the team.

The entire Bolton MRT membership extends its gratitude to the very kind extremely supportive thoughtful support of the late Mr Ian Casson.

Mr Ian Casson’s memory and wonderful support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team will be acknowledged by a Dedication Plaque to his ever lasting memory being erected in our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
