Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE received a wonderful letter from team friend Roy Sammons, of Lostock, Bolton, known to us as Chairman of Bolton and District Advanced Motorists, who in turn are valued supporters of the Bolton MRT.
Roy in his letter stated;
“I recently reached the ‘Three Score Years and Ten’ milestone in my life and celebrated at a function attended by family, friends and ex work colleagues.”
“Rather than buying gifts, I asked guests to consider making a donation to charity instead.”“Donations would be divided equally between Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, North West Air Ambulance and the RNLI.”
“The donations made were overwhelming, with £915.00 being donated (Plus some amounts donated directly to the organisations).”
“Enclosed are cheques to the value of £305.00, for Bolton MRT, being one third of the donations.”
“I am also Chairman of Bolton and District Advanced Motorists, who have made regular donations to your organisation.”
“With my best wishes, Roy Sammons.”
The entire Bolton MRT membership extends its belated wishes to Roy on his recent 70th birthday, and thanks him for supporting us, the NWAA and the RNLI in this very appreciated and thoughtful manner.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all those kind family members, friends and ex work colleagues of Roy, who made such very kind donations to the Bolton MRT in celebration of his 70th Birthday.
