This evening the team hosted a visit to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ by thirty one very keen members of Chorley and District Young Farmers Club. (Which draws on its membership from a very wide area, including the Bolton, Horwich and Blackrod areas)
Commencing at circa 20.00hrs, they were met by Team Call Out list members Nigel Booth, Dave Cook, Gillian Leigh, Paul Copley and Martin Battersby, joined by our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE who was present on other business.
Chorley and District Young Farmers Club are great supporters of the team, and their ‘Presentation cheque’ for £3,620.00 from October 2006, still hangs proudly on our Base / HQ walls.
Their visit followed the usual format of introductory DVDs, then sessions based around our search and rescue equipment and our vehicles based at Ladybridge Hall.
At the conclusion of their visit (Which was incidentally our first ‘Lecture’ presentation of 2014) Chorley and District Young Farmers kindly presented the team with a £50.00 donation.
The whole team membership extends its thanks to Chorley and District Young Farmers Club for their valued and much appreciated continuing support of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team.
