Our Support Group members were delighted to welcome Eddie Birchall and his Boxing Club companion, Bill, to their meeting this evening.

Eddie, the leader of the New Bury Youth Club’s Welsh Coast Cycle Summer Charity Challenge 2013, had brought along further sponsorship money in the form of a cheque for £100.00 bringing the total raised for Bolton Mountain Rescue Team to the absolutely fantastic total of £1,030.00.

Eddie in turn was presented with a laminated Certificate of Thanks to display on the ’wall of pride’ in New Bury Youth Club, Farnworth.

The entire Team membership is very grateful for this wonderful support from New Bury Youth Club (and, of course, their sponsors!) and wishes them well with their future Summer Charity Challenges.

Eddie is already starting to plan their 2014 challenge which will, no doubt, prove as successful as all their previous efforts which have so far raised over £5,000.00 for various charities.
