Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

22nd January 2014

Wednesday 22nd saw an all action packed training exercise which was based in the Wilderswood area above Horwich.

Three scenarios were used – they being a paediatric incident; a possible scene of crime and the third was held in reserve if the other two ran smoothly.

As the evening progressed, it became apparent that the third scenario would be used – it being the Training Officer (Dave Marsh) knocked himself out on top of one of our landrovers, whilst unloading equipment. It was then left to the members to ascertain how to get him off the vehicle in the most practical of ways.

The 20 members present enjoyed the training as it was slightly different from the norm – and without the dreaded stretcher carry.
