Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

At the conclusion of this evening’s first part of our Annual General Meeting, outgoing Deputy Team Leader Geoff Seddon, who had announced a few weeks ago he would not be standing for re-election this year as our Deputy Team Leader, was surprised to receive from the team membership, organised by our President Bob Hutchinson and Life Vice President Tony McNally, an engraved glass ware plaque honouring his service with Bolton MRT.

Geoff was further honoured to accept the post of Honorary Life Vice President within the Bolton MRT, as agreed by the team membership.

Geoff Seddon, of Lever Park Avenue, Horwich, aged 63, joined Bolton MRT in 1969, and has been a totally committed and dedicated Team Call Out list member ever since, holding such posts as Team Chairman and from 13/09/1973 to 13/03/1981, for seven years six months the post of Bolton MRT Team Leader. (Our second longest serving Team Leader)

Within mountain rescue Geoff holds the following awards:

Geoff has been our Deputy Team Leader continuously since being elected to this post twenty-two years ago, in 1992.

Geoff will continue with the Bolton MRT as an operational Call Out list member.
