The Bolton MRT wishes to extend its congratulations to Chris Griffiths, the newly elected Team Leader of NEWSAR Team.

Chris is a long standing friend of Bolton MRT, particularly familiar to our members from his assistance over the years on our Annual Joint Foundation Course in Mountain Rescue.

Iain Ashcroft, the previous incumbent of this post in NEWSAR, stood down at NEWSAR’s recent Annual General Meeting after faithfully serving a dedicated fourteen years in post as NEWSAR Team Leader.

Iain in turn has now accepted post of Operations Officer for the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association.
