Today our Mountain Rescue Trailing Search Dog Handler Steve Nelson, his Trailing Search Dog Boris (of SARDA Wales) and their usual navigator colleague Bolton MRT member Elaine Gilliland, has completed another of their monthly regular SARDA Wales weekend training exercises in North Wales.

Meanwhile our Trainee Air Scenting Search Dog Handler Paul Chisholm and his air scenting dog in training Bella, continue their training, primarily on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings, largely in the Calder Valley Search and Rescue Team area.

Dave Marsh our current Training Officer, and a previous operational Mountain Rescue Air Scenting Dog Handler, also continues with his specialist training with Sasha, to become an operational Drowned Victim Search Dog team, with a lot of Dave’s current training locally taking place on Pennington Flash, Leigh.
