Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

17th April 2014

On Monday 31st March and Tuesday 1st April 2014, the Bolton MRT took part in a search operation in regards to a missing 31 years old man.

Very sadly on Thursday 3rd April, the body of the man was located in the Peel Green, Eccles, area.

Working alongside GMP, we were assisted in this search by colleagues from Cheshire SART, Rossendale and Pendle MRT, SARDA Wales and SARDA England / Calder Valley SRT.

Today our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, received a kind letter of thanks from GMP Superintendent Mark Kenny, GMP Salford Division.

“Dear Mr Rhodes. I am writing to thank you for the assistance of the Bolton Mountain Rescue Team in the recent search for a missing man in the Salford area.

Your assistance greatly contributed to the search, which sadly ended with the discovery of his body in woods outside the search area.

Many thanks for the teams assistance.

Yours sincerely, Mark Kenny, Superintendent, GMP Salford Division.”
