Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

During our provision of Standby Rescue Cover for the Annual Rivington Pike Fell Race, at 14.59hrs, our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE was contacted directly by NWAS (Manchester) EOC Parkway, for the team to lend assistance to a local incident in Horwich, involving a male aged 55 years old with chest pains, and to which an NWAS Community First Responder was also attending.

Our Land Rover BM3 with two crew on board (Including Team Call Out list member Naomi Horan, an Intensive Care Nurse by profession) was despatched from the Standby Rescue Cover, arriving on scene at the incident address at 15.08hrs, to join the NWAS CFR in treating the male.

Two further Bolton MRT Team Call Out list members were also despatched from Horwich.

With the arrival of an NWAS (Manchester) Emergency Ambulance, our original two responding members and the NWAS CFR stayed to assist the NWAS Emergency Ambulance crew treat the male, who was then transferred to Manchester Royal Infirmary.
