Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

24th April 2014

With those team members employed, all in or on their way to work this morning, the ‘retired’ folk and shift workers in the team didn’t get a chance of a lay in, as our pagers went off at 08.22hrs for an incident in the Whitefield area.

Very quickly, at 08.26hrs North West Ambulance Service (Manchester) paged again, to state the team was no longer required.

The call had been answered by our Team Leader Garry Rhodes MBE, who established the call was to a male casualty in fields, in the vicinity of Hurst Farm, Copper Lane, Whitefield, with initial concerns access could not be gained by the responding NWAS Emergency Ambulance.

Thankfully access was not a problem, hence our almost immediate stand down.
