On Saturday 5th October 2013, for the fifth year running, the team provided standby rescue cover for the Rivington Trail Half Marathon event.

Organised by 2:09 Events, the race enjoyed its fifth year in Rivington, with the route starting at Rivington & Blackrod School, and heading north to the White Coppice area, and then returning to Rivington via the Rivington Reservoir system.

Today we are very happy to report the receipt of a marvellous donation of £500.00 from 2:09 Events as a thank you for our provision of standby rescue cover for the October 2013 event.

The whole team membership wishes to extend its grateful thanks to 2:09 Events for this kind donation.

The team is pleased to be invited every year to help assist with this successful local event by 2:09 Events, with thanks to their Managing Director Mike Gratton of 2:09 Events Limited, of Farnborough, and we look forward to the sixth event in October 2014 which is being held again from Rivington, scheduled for Saturday 4th October 2014 and the continuation of our involvement.
