On Monday 17th March 2014 we were pleased to announce via our website the receipt of a very generous £157.43p from our dear friends and supporters at Darwen Dashers Running Club, following our provision of standby rescue cover for their ‘Mr Sparkle’s Dark’ Un’ Fell Race of Friday evening 21st February 2014. (Please see website ‘News’ report dated the same)
At the post-race celebration in the Royal Arms at Roddlesworth, Simon Fox of Darwen Dashers’ Running Club, the organiser of ‘Mr Sparkle’s Dark Un’ Fell Race, sent a Team Collection Box around those gathered for a drink, and we are very pleased to announce today that the grand total of £22.06p was collected for us.
The whole team membership finds itself yet again in the happy position of extending its full thanks to all at Darwen Dashers’ Running Club for their kind and much appreciated continuing support of Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, and to all who contributed on Friday evening 21st February 2014 at the Royal Arms, Roddlesworth, to putting a few coins in our box, whether a member of Darwen Dashers’ Running Club or a customer of this popular public house.
