Jolly Crofters Fundraising Team

20th May 2014

Tonight the team was very pleased to host a small contingent of Beavers, Cubs and their leader from the 18th Bolton Scout Group, from the Horwich area.

The group were visiting the team to present a cheque donation arising from the recent Bolton West District Scouts St. George’s Day Parade which was held at St. Mary’s Church in Horwich.

For this year’s St George’s Day parade service, the Scout District chose to raise funds for both Bolton Mountain Rescue Team and also Bolton Children’s Opportunity Group (COG), with any monies raised being split equally between the two charities.

As a result of the collection which was taken during the parade service, the Bolton West Scout District raised £82.82p for the Bolton MRT.

The entire team membership is very grateful for this very kind donation, which was presented tonight by members of the 18th Bolton Scout Group on behalf of the Bolton West District Scouts.
