This morning despite the rain and the initial chosen venue of Cadshaw being unavailable, five team call out list members and former long serving team member Gyles Denn, met at last Wednesday evening’s exercise venue of Bradshaw Brook, Bradshaw, Bolton to undertake some rope work training.

Taking place on the steep rocky ‘craglets’ near to ‘The Stables,’ our five team members present consisted of Alistair Greenough, Equipment Officer – Medical Nigel Booth, Martin Battersby, John Dickinson and Michael Eddleston.

Utilising equipment on our attending Land Rover Mountain Rescue Ambulance call sign ‘Bolton Mobile 3,’ the six present covered personal belay set up, abseil techniques and safety backups, multi point belays, lowering and raising systems.

By circa 14.00hrs it was time to pack away everything and return to our Ladybridge Hall Base / HQ.
